Monnaz loop

A hike that will make you discover the heights of Marignier! Several points of view await you: The Arve Valley, Andey, the Bargy Massif, the Aravis Massif, the Môle, the Marcelly and the Mont Blanc chain.

A loop on the slopes of Monnaz, starting from the old bridge of Marignier, until the belvedere of the Neck. Possibility to cross the plateau to contemplate the pretty mountain of Marcelly.

Various atmospheres, between orchards, forest, village and alpine hamlet.

This hike is accessible to all and offers a great breath of fresh air above the Arve Valley.

1/ Cross the brook of Nantillet and take the old road of Monnaz.
2/ Once the old road is finished, enter the forest and take the path towards Coux de Marignier by Delanchy.
3/ Go along the hedge next to the meadow and continue in the same direction.
4/ Once your crossing in the forest is over, follow the tarred road for 200m and take the path in the direction of Marignier by Delanchy, you will pass on the left of a pond, go up the steep path crossing a forest.
5/ Once the climb is over, take the path on the right and follow it.
6/ Take the direction of Le mont d'Orchez then go back on your steps.
7/ Take the track which goes down following Marignier Vieux Pont
8/ Cross the forest until the sign before the house then go down along the private property. Continue in the direction of Marignier Vieux Pont.
9/ At the reservoir, go down on the road, until the directional sign, then take on your right the path after the brook you are in Nierfait.
10/ Cross the cow park, you will find on your left an old bread oven. At the stop sign, cross the road then take the "chemin du Noyer" which will lead you to the parking of "Jovet dessous". Follow the road on your right then take the first right "rue de prat".
11/ Take the path on your right then take the road on your left at the cross of Monnaz follow the direction of Marignier vieux pont until the end of the route.
