The natural areas through which the Bonneville-Contamine-sur-Arve trail passes are uniquely ecologically rich. Accessible on foot and by bike for young and old!
The course goes up the right bank of the Arve river in its entire length and in a remarkable natural setting.
Guided steps
1/ From the quays of Bonneville, you will take the new bicycle path from the Pont de l'Europe to the new downstream bridge over the Arve (a few meters from the parking of the Foirail). 2/ Then you will go along the Arve on a wide path where you will discover some vegetable gardens. 3/ Then you will continue on a paved path on all the linear. There are some areas that are used by agricultural vehicles or recently flooded which can be muddy. 4/ Once you arrive at the limit of Bonneville and Contamine-sur-Arve, you have the possibility to take a variant to go through the wetlands (ponds, reedbeds, forest...) which border the Arve. Be careful to stay on the main path. 5/ Continue your walk in the direction of Nangy. 6/ Once you have arrived at the barrier where there is a SM3A sign indicating the itinerary, you have arrived at the Nangy parking lot. 7/ Return by the same route
