St Théodule's church

St Théodule's church image1

Description

The current church was rebuilt between 1837 and 1887, on the base of an older church. Its most distinctive feature is the fact that its chancel faces west and not east, as is usual.
Members of the local congregation wanted to organise themselves into a fully religious community, with their own sanctuary for celebrating mass... a long process which led to the building of this church.
