Royal House
Description
This dwelling, formerly the Famel house, was chosen in the summer of 1824 to be converted to provide accommodation for King Charles-Félix and his wife during a visit to the Pays de Savoie.
The royal couple stayed two nights in Bonneville. It was the only house to boast a fine cast-iron balcony overlooking the square, from where the sovereigns were able to enjoy the various ceremonies organised in their honour.
If you go under the arch of the Maison des Têtes, you will see the rear facade of the house, made up of magnificent galleries on two floors.
